The Guild is delighted to present Far Reaching Earth, Far Extending Sky, Spread like a Mat, Covered like a Bowl: The Works of Rajkumar Korram, a solo show, opening soon at The Guild. The exhibition will cover sculpture, painting and photography, telling the stories of life as seen through the artist’s vibrant and insightful lens.

Rajkumar Korram (b. 1971, Bastar, Chhattisgarh) is a founding member of Dialogue Interactive Artists Association (DIAA), Kopaweda, Kondagaon where he serves as the President currently. Some of his collaborative projects are Chawal ki Kahani, Pilla Gudi and Nalpar, a project in collaboration between artists and community members in Bastar since 2000. He has been a participant in a number of the Samvad series of seminars. Rajkumar has widely exhibited his artworks in India and abroad. His important exhibitions include Starting from the Desert: Ecologies on the Edge, curated by Marco Scotini, 2nd Yinchuan Biennale, Museum of Contemporary Art, Yinchuan, China, 2018; Edge of Desire: Recent Art in India, curated by Chaitanya Sambrani, an exhibition which travelled to Perth, New York, Mexico City, Monterrey, Berkeley, New Delhi, Mumbai 2004–07; Modes of Parallel Practice: Ways of World Making, Interactive project at Shilpi Gram with Navjot Altaf and Bhanumati Padamsee, Kabiram and Gessuram at Sakshi Art Gallery Mumbai and Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, as part of Asian Art Triennale; Communication: Channels for Hope, Fukuoka, Japan, curated by Raiji Kuroda (1997–1998). Rajkumar has been awarded Sanskriti Doot award by Samata Sahitya Academy, Chhattisgarh state, Cultural Ambassador award by Samata Sahitya Academy, Chhattisgarh state.
